Nail of the Day: Ulta3 'Allure'

Hey guys and girls, I finally have another nail of the day for you all and I’m absolutely in love! This nail polish is by Ulta3 in the colour Allure. I picked this nail polish up for $2AUD at a chemist (drug store) yes, $2! Its an amazing cream colour that i can see me wearing HEAPS!

The formula of these are very nice actually, I only have about 4 of them but I bought this one a week ago and when I applied it, it was pretty sheer, to had to do about 4 coats to get a block colour of it. The nail polish dries very quickly as well, which i love because I’m impatient most of the time with letting my nails dry.

What is your favourite cream nail polish? :)

Review: Inglot Lipstick '263'

I have another review for you today and it’s on one of my Inglot nude lipsticks in ‘263’ this is my go to everyday lipstick (if I wear it), it’s subtle and looks natural :) This lipstick I've found is sort of an orange toned nude lisptick, if that makes any sence? I really love it because it matches and goes with my orange hair haha

My Favourite! - Avon Glimmersticks

Hey everyone :) Today I'm going to start doing some segmants called 'My Favourite!' i will show you my favourite product of a certain catagory and im going to start off with my favourite stick eyeliners :) They are from Avon and they are called ‘Glimmersticks’. These were my first eyeliners when I started using makeup and I swear by them. My mum used to order from Avon a lot when I was little and she would grab the eyeliners and once I was of age (i suppose I bought myself a few and started using them.

emerald glow, sugar plum, emerald, dark brown, cosmic brown, blackest black, starry night

Review: Illamasqua Cream Blush 'Libido'

Hey everyone, sadly I’ve kind of forgotten about this blog this week. But I’m working on doing a post every other day and keep the reviews going. Today’s review is on another Illamasqua Cream Blush that I have called ‘Libido’

Don’t be scared about the colour, it may look like a bright red, but when blended into the skin it turns into such a nice bright orange that looks great on darker skin tones. The texture is so light and creamy it doesn’t feel like you’re wearing anything at all. The colour is so pigmented, a little does go a long way. This product would certainly last a lifetime.

I love Illamasqua's packaging, it’s so weird and dark, and is so different. I love that it all matches, unlike Benefit for example. The blush is really simple to apply. I applied this with my index finger and blended it out with an Illamasqua blush brush.  I definitely recommend this is you have darker skin, but this is an all rounder and looks great on all skin tones :)

Have you tried this blush before? Like it? Let me know! :)

Nail of the Day: O.P.I Nicki Minaj 'Fly'

IT’S OCTOBER! I cannot believe it, feels like time is just flying by this year, soon enough it will be Christmas! I’m going to start off this beautiful spring day with a nail of the day, and this one is for the last of the O.P.I Nicki Minaj mini’s which is “Fly”. It’s a deep teal cream polish that is absolutely stunning. Just like “Did it on ‘em” I wasn’t overly fond of the colour when I got the mini pack, but I’ve worn it a couple of times and really like it :)

The formula is great, I mean its O.P.I, their nail polishes are incredible, and I only needed 2 coats of this colour to get a full coverage. I’d definitely wear this year round, it’s just one of those colours that would go great with any season :)

Would you buy the full sized bottle?

Review: Inglot Lipstick '401'

Today’s review is on Inglot’s matte lipstick in 401. It’s a bright orange, perfect for this spring! I’m a huge fan of Inglot lipsticks and they are among my favourites, but unfortunately their matte lipsticks are something I will not be purchasing from them any time soon, which is a shame.

M.A.C Rebel Lipstick Review + Swatch!

Today’s review is on one of M.A.C’s lipsticks called ‘Rebel’. It is part of their permanent collection and is really popular this spring. I went to the M.A.C counter looking for an awesome new lipstick that was bold and daring as I’m not a hardcore fan of lipstick, and the assistant pointed me straight to Rebel and made me try it on. At first I thought I looked weird, but after continuously looking at myself in the mirror I liked it more and more and just bought it. This lipstick would be perfect for autumn/fall but I’d definitely wear this all year round.

Nail of the Day: O.P.I Hot & Spicy

Today’s nail of the day is O.P.I’s Hot & Spicy. Now that its spring, pastels and bright colours are back so I thought I could sport this with my nails. Orange is my favourite colour at the moment, and has been for quite a while :) I picked up this nail polish in a two pack from Salon Melbourne for $15AUD. It came with a nice little makeup bag and another nail polish called LA Paz-itively Hot. Click here to see my Salon Melbourne haul post.

Face of Australia Primer 'Black' Review

Tonight’s review is on Face of Australia’s (FOA) Black Primer. FOA have two primers available at the moment a black one and a white one and I picked this one up the black about a month ago because I ran out of my white primer. The main difference I found with the two is that the black one has SPF 15 and the white one doesn’t but contains vitamin e and chamomile. Other then that I feel they do just as good a job as each other and feel no different on the skin.
The packaging for it is nice as well, it’s black and in an easy squirt bottle and you get 50mls in it.

M.A.C Painterly Paint Pot Review + Swatch!

I’m finally getting around to reviewing one of my most favourite makeup products, the M.A.C Painterly Paint Pot. I bought this about 8 months ago. i picked it up at my local M.A.C store for $35AUD I think. My favourite beauty guru Amarixie used it in all of her videos so I just had to have it. The Paint pots from M.A.C are just awesome! They are just as great as the colour tattoos from Maybelline if you are looking for something more affordable. See my blog post on my Maybelline 24 Hour Colour Tattoo’s.

Garnier BB Cream 'Light' Review + Swatches!

Hello there everyone, I hope the world is treating you right :)

Today's review is on Garnier's new BB Cream! Ive been searching for a BB cream/tinted moisturiser for a while now and saw this one on sale at K-mart, so I decided to pick it up. For those of you who don't know what a BB cream is, it's an all-in-one product that can replace your moisturizer, foundation, sunscreen and even primer. It can be worn alone as a light foundation or you can even apply powder to the top for a fuller coverage. It's basically a lightweight foundation with all the goodies in it.

Nail of the Day: Rimmel Exotica + O.P.I Black Shatter

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Today’s nail of the day is to go with my ‘Jigsaws Girlfriend’ Halloween makeup tutorial that is on its way. I thought I would stick with the theme of red and black and use Rimmel’s I Love Lasting Finish in ‘Exotica’ and O.P.I’s Shatter nail polish in Black. Another great nail art you could do for this look is to paint your nails white or black and do the red swirl (like the cheek) on the middle of the nail.

OCC Lip Tar Review & Swatches!

Today’s review is on the Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics (OCC) lip tars. I bought my first lip tars at IMATS Sydney 2011, and using them is so much fun. The three colours I’m doing a review on today are Banjee, Grandma and Narcissus, which are 2 pinks and an orange.

OCC Lip Tars: Narcissus, Grandma, Banjee
OCC really put a new meaning to “a little goes a long way”. To cover your lips you only need a blob that is maybe a third of the size of a pea. And that will cover it extremely well. The lip tars come in so many colours that you can mix to make new colours. Lip tars are pretty much paint for your lips. The formula is similar to paint, but it’s a little thinner, but color payoff is pretty much exactly the same if you were to paint your lips.

OCC Lip Tar: Grandma
OCC Lip Tar: Narcissus
OCC Lip Tar: Banjee
The packaging is cute, it’s like the old school lip gloss tubes you squeeze out onto your lips and swipe it across. I wouldn’t recommend doing that with the lip tars, they are extremely pigmented and if you squeeze too much on there it will just end up a mess. The best way I find to apply these is the squirt out a little bit so its sitting flat onto the applicator and then taking a lip brush just apply it that way. OCC are cruelty free which is another bonus for me.

The lip tars last agers!  I wouldn’t hesitate to say they’d last all day. They dry as if it were paint and don’t move without a wet one or some makeup remover. So if you’re in a stage show for a couple of hours, I recommend using the lip tars because you will not have to touch up! Have any of you tried them? What is your favourite color/color combination? Let me know :)

Love you guys xo

Nail of the Day: Rimmel London 'Misty Jade'

Finally another nail of the day! Today’s NOTD is Rimmel’s Misty Jade. Sadly I had to chop all my nails off today because they were starting to split and be all different shapes, so I’ve cut them down into a round shape (which I’m not overly fond of)

Spring has started this week here in Australia and it’s time for all the pastels. This color is amazing. I love the minty green color of it. It’s definitely my favourite color for this spring. I actually bought this about 6 months ago and wore it a lot, I haven’t worn it in a while I thought I’d give it another whirl.

Rimmel London I  Lasting Finish '045 Misty Jade'

I’m a huge fan of Rimmel’s nail polish ranges. They are such great quality and very affordable. Misty Jade is a shade from their I Lasting Finish range. I bought this nail polish on special for $4.95AUD at Priceline and thought it was a bargain. I bought a dupe of this a few weeks before but the formula wasn’t what I was looking for. The dupe was from Face of Australia, but I have put it in the bin since then.

Do you like Rimmel? What’s your favourite color? :)

Maybelline FITme! Foundation Review

Today’s review is on Maybelline’s FITme! foundation. I bought this foundation a few months ago in a gift pack along with its matching powder and concealer. I bought the set for $20AUD which was an absolute steal as all 3 products separately would equal to about $45AUD. Id wanted this foundation for quite a while, but I just never got around to purchasing it until I found this pack.

The packaging is great, I think it’s classy and really simple. It has a glass bottle and a plastic lid, so be careful when applying it in the bathroom. Although there isn’t a pump on the bottle. I usually like foundations with a pump or be able to squeeze it out of something but this one is just open so the lid does get really messy if you don’t clean up after applying it to your hand or whatever. To avoid mess, I use a spatula and stick about a 10 cent piece size on my hand and that will cover my entire face.

The shade I bought was the 120 and I found it a little dark for me, I have white skin with lots of freckles and I found this one was a tad too orange for my skin, but I will definitely be using this during the summer time. Along with the foundation the concealer was dark for me as well, although I found that the powder was a perfect match for me. A great bonus about this foundation is that it comes in so many shades and in different tones as well. Some are more yellow toned and others are red toned.

The coverage for this foundation is really good, its lightweight and it has an SPF of 18, so I wouldn’t recommend wearing this foundation if you are going to be having flash photography taken of yourself as the SPF does reflect light and makes you look 10x as white. The formula wouldn’t be suitable for people with oily skin as well, as I found that it will slide right off after only wearing it for a short while. So if you have oily skin, I’d give this foundation a miss. If you have a lot of skin problems and want more coverage I wouldn’t recommend this to cover blemishes. I found that this gives a nice thin lightweight coat for color. If you have great skin then I’d definitely recommend this to you.

Have you tried this foundation? Does it work well for you?

love you guys xo

Illamasqua Cream Blush 'Laid' Review & Swatch!

I can’t believe its September already in 2012! I feel like this year has gone nowhere! I’m going to start off September with another review from Illamasqua. It will be for their cream blush in ‘Laid’.

Illamasqua Cream Blush 'Laid'
As always the Illamasqua packaging is just divine. It’s so professional yet so funky and different from everyone else. The only thing I don’t like about the packaging is that it fingerprints easy. If I hold it, it’s covered in fingerprints and I don’t think that’s very attractive, especially when it’s going through your kit.

This was the first cream blush I’ve bought. I bought this from IMATS in 2011 and have used it a fair bit and think it’s worth a review. Don’t be alarmed by the brightness of this blush, it blends! And it blends into a lovely rose pink color. Great thing is, you can wear it on your lips as well, and I think it’s a gorgeous lip color. It’s like killing two birds with one stone.

Illamasqua Cream Blush 'Laid'
The formula is great. It’s not sticky and doesn’t feel like cake on your face. The blush in its dewy finish will last about 6 hours for me, but if I set my face with translucent powder it lasts 12 hours easy. It’s so pigmented. A little really does go a long way.

Do you like cream blush? What one is your favourite?

Illamasqua Skin Base Foundation Review!

Today’s review is of Illamasqua's Skin Base Foundation. I have been using this for about 6 months now and feel like it’s time to finally give a review on it.

First off I’ll talk about the packaging. The packaging is stunning. The bottle has a very unique shape to it, and the lid of course is the shape of most of the products. One thing I did find hard to do was squeeze product out after a few months of using it. I felt like I needed 2 hands to get anything out of it. But that stopped after a month or so for some strange reason.

Illamasqua Skin Base Foundation in 02
The product itself is pretty impressive. I only need to use about half a 5 cent piece blob on my hand to cover my entire face and have full coverage. The foundation was created to feel like you don’t have anything on, and I think they have achieved this nicely. Somehow it gives full coverage without giving you a cake face. The formula itself is quite thick but spreads really easy.

I’m very impressed with this range of foundation. I think I spent about $60AUD on this and I think it’s worth every cent. Another great thing about this foundation is that it comes in about 26 shades to fit anyone. It even comes in white! So if you dress up a lot or have very pale skin or very dark skin, then i recommend this foundation for you! If your down at Illamasqua get one of the artists to test it on you and feel for yourself.

Have you got it? Tell me what you think of it!

Love you guys xo

Welcome to the West!

Hello there readers!

I'm very very happy to be back blogging. I haven't done it in a few weeks. SORRY!  A lot has happened in the past few weeks, I suppose this can be a catch up post (sorry no makeup!)

So if anyone has read my other news flash post you’d know I was moving to Perth, W.A. Well, IM HERE! Not going to lie, but this place is very quiet and kinda boring. I wouldn’t exactly come here from a tourist point of view. But it’s nice, I’m enjoying being here.

I arrived on Saturday with my boyfriend Adam. We drove over from Melbourne which is 4 days’ worth of driving (38 hours) well actually, he was the one who drove seeing as I don’t have my licence yet hahaha. The drive was absolutely incredible. We crossed the Nullarbor and saw the Great Australian Bight. We also stayed in very overpriced places and once spent $2.11 p/l on fuel. But hey it was an experience I certainly recommend to everyone!

My most favourite part of the drive was definitely the Great Australian Bight. It is one of the best experiences of my life and will do it all over again in a heartbeat. Adam and I arrived and we had t pay $20 (for both of us) to go through to the lookouts. We made our way down and I saw some weird black things in the water. I was saying “it’s a rock, wait is that a whale, no it’s a rock, OMG it’s a whale!”. There were about 8 whales when we went, it was AMAZING! We even had the pleasure of seeing one doing flips in the water.

Adam and I are now semi settled into our new home with my dad. We haven’t received our stuff yet but it is coming (I hope) with this new house Adam and I get to spread out a little bit more then we could at my mummy’s house. We now have 3 bedrooms and a small living area to ourselves. So Adam and I have our bedroom but we also have a room each for whatever we want and as I explained in the other post I’m going to be setting up a makeup studio for myself for clients and also to restart filming my videos!

In Perth I will be working with my dad and Adam to build my makeup business and hopefully get my name out there. So fingers crossed! I will be posting a few reviews in the next couple of days including Illamasqua’s Skin Base foundation as well as a cream blush and lip gloss, so stay tuned! Thanks so much for reading.

Nail of the Day: OPI Nicki Minaj 'Pink Friday'

Today's nail of the day is Nicki Minaj's second OPI nail polish 'Pink Friday' from the mini set i bought at Salon Melbourne in April. This color is a glossy baby pink. The formulation is great. When i first saw this in the bottle i didn't really think it was the most amazing color in the world. But now that pastels are in this season the color has definitely grown on me!

excuse the dent on my ring finger haha.
bedroom light, 2 coats
I will definitely buy a big bottle of this nail polish, its subtle and such a pretty color for the spring season coming up in Australia :)

would you wear it?

Nail of the Day: OPI Nicki Minaj 'Did It On 'em'

Today's nail of the day is one of Nicki Minaj's nail polishes by OPI called Did It On 'em. OPI released this collection at the start of the year and i purchased a mini pack of the nail polishes for $20 at Salon Melbourne. From what I've read online there were 2 sets brought out in the minis for this collection. The only difference with them is that one pack had Metallic For Life instead of Save Me and vice versa. The pack i bought came with 4 nail polishes, Did It On 'em, Pink Friday, Fly and Save me. The set is absolutely beautiful. Once i saw this nail polish pack i had to have it.

natural light, 3 coats
The pack includes a darker teal color, baby pink, light green and a silver glitter that has blue reflective bits in it. i love the diversity of colors in this pack. The formula like most OPI nail polishes are pretty impressive. It only took 3 coats for a smooth even coverage. i love the color choices with this range and i suggest you check them out.

have you tried the line?
let me know!

Love you guys xo

Maybelline Color Tattoo Eyeshadow Review + Swatches!

Today’s review is on the new (to Australian stores) Maybelline Color Tattoo eye shadows as part of their Eye Studio range. They have been released in Australia for just over a month now and I’m so excited to be blogging about these. I remember when these were released in the US and I wanted them soooooo bad, but unfortunately they were really expensive on eBay and they hadn’t set a release date for Australia. So of course watching my favourite gurus use them was very depressing! Haha.

The cream eye shadows are supposed to be smudge proof and last 24 hours. these also claimed to be better then all makeup bases and cream eye shadows such as M.A.C paint pots etc. didn’t really think these would be any good seeing as they aren’t a high end cream eye shadow and I thought they would crease really easily, but a lot of reviews and people using them in their videos my mind was quickly changed!

I’m really impressed with this range as there is a great selection of bright/neutrals and matte/frosted colours. At this present time I only have 4, but I just couldn’t wait till I had all of them to blog about it. The four colours I have are Painted Purple, Bold Gold, Tenacious Teal and Audacious Asphalt. There are 10 currently released.

Bold Gold, Audacious Asphalt, Tenacious Teal, Painted Purple

Bold Gold, Audacious Asphalt, Tenacious Teal, Painted Purple

These formulations are pretty amazing. As I said I’m so impressed with these. I only have frosted colours at the moment but I have swatched the matte ones and they are just as amazing. The color payoff is great as well, they apply smooth and even. I would recommend this for an eye base because after trying them on myself, they would last for 24 hours. I swatched these on my wrist for this blog and I couldn’t take them off... it took a shower and scrubbing to get off. So if you need your eye shadow to last 24 hours, then you NEED these! So far the only differences between them that I have found is that the purple is more sheer then the other ones.

All in all, these are great! The color selections is great, the formula is great. It’s just GREAT! If you can’t afford $33 for a paint pot, then I suggest you start buying these. They range for about $12-15 Australian... which in my opinion is better than paying $33 :)

I hope you guys enjoyed the review; once I get the other colours I will definitely does a post of swatches for you all :) have an amazing week!

Love you guys xo

Michelle Phan 'Myer Melbourne Masterclass'

Hey everyone :)

On Friday, I met the one and only Michelle Phan! She was holding a master class at Myer Melbourne with Lancôme. Tickets were $50, redeemable with Lancôme products.

For those of you who don’t know Michelle Phan... she is a YouTube sensation! She has been posting beauty and makeup tutorials since 2007 and is top 10 most viewed on YouTube and I think she is the most subscribed girl on YouTube. Not sure tho. But anyway she is my idol; she is the one who inspired me to become a makeup artist.
Michelle Phan
They had a few people speak at first... as well as 3 Lancôme makeup artists and 3 models on stage. They were recreating looks for Lancôme’s new makeup packs, one that Michelle had made herself. Sharni and I got up to level 6 at mural hall and saw soooooo many people! A part of me wasn’t expecting that at all. I felt like I was the only one who knew her and that she was my idol and it wouldn’t have such a massive turn out, but I was sadly mistaken!

We got called to get our names checked off and I was handed a purple wristband so I could drink ehheehe. All they had was champagne... vodka would have been better. We pushed in line and went inside with the first group of people and we were absolutely shocked! This place was decked out! It was so fancy and decorated so well. Oh and not to mention... HOT WAITERS! Michelle really did go all out for this! We were waiting in line and waiters were bringing around food and drinks for everyone... the food was so odd. They served slices of beef in some sauce in little bowls and Morang balls on a stick... to me... that’s odd lol.

All of a sudden the doors opened to the hall... Sharni and I pushed and shoved again to get as close as we could to the stage. And I think we were sitting about 4 rows back right on the isle. So we did really well :) the stage was set out so amazing. There were 3 makeup stations and 3 model chairs and banners upon banners of Michelle and also two massive screens with videos of Michelle playing with Lancôme products.

We waited around for a bit and then a few people I didn’t know spoke for a bit. Then final Michelle came on stage, she was so beautiful and graceful and was wearing great dress! Her hair was great and makeup was amazing as well... although, she didn’t do it herself. She had her own makeup artist. Being a makeup artist myself... I’d do my own makeup! But anyway... she looked stunning. But unfortunately, she wasn’t on stage for long. She spoke for about 15 minutes just saying some tips (which I already knew from her videos) and then talking about products.
was really hard to get a decent photo of Michelle, she kept moving lol
After Michelle was on stage she went to another room waiting for her photo to be taken with 400+ girls. So Sharni and I ran to go get our photo with Michelle. I was so excited and so nervous to meet her it wasn’t funny! I went up to her and introduced myself, but she didn’t seem too fazed, she just shook my hand and said it was nice to meet you. We took the photo and she said don’t forget to check out the makeup stations...

I wanted to tell her... you are my idol. I have watched you since your first video... and I have watched you evolve into an amazing and successful person and you are the person who inspired me to become a makeup artist. I am who I am today because of her. But no. I didn’t get a bar in. I understand she was in a rush but some little bit of interest would have been nice. As for the photo. Not impressed. The Myer lady said it was fine, but poor Sharni was blinking and the photo was extremely saturated and I look white as all hell. But not to fear! My dad is editing it for us and is going to make it look moral and give Sharni eyes. So not all is lost... thank god.

After we got our photo taken Sharni and I went into the hall again and had a look at the products and the primer took our eyes... we were asking where we would get it from and we were told to go downstairs to the Lancôme counter... so Sharni and I left and as we were leaving we got a little goodie bag with a few skin products, mini eyeliner and a mini mascara. I was soooooo happy with that. So we went down stairs and people had the same idea to beat the rush upstairs and just come downstairs haha. It was a mad rush. I was so indecisive of what I wanted to spend my $50 voucher on. In the end I bought the Doll Eyes mascara which I will be doing a review on soon :) the mascara was only $2 after the voucher... so I was happy with that haha.

my awesome 18+ wristband :)
After that Sharni and I headed home... our feet were killing us (as we were in heels) so we made a little pit stop into Rubi shoes and bought some flats for myself and Sharni bought actual slippers haha. All in all it was a good night. I got to meet Michelle Phan and hug her and be around her, so it wasn’t all bad. I was just mainly disappointed that it wasn’t really a master class because she wasn’t doing any actual makeup... and also that our photo was shit and she was very rushed to get it over and done with.

Did yoy meet her? let me know your story!
love you guys xo

Review: Real Techniques 'Blush Brush'

I walked into Priceline yesterday after being at a photo shoot and as my friend Sharni was waiting to be served, the brush caught my eye.. What brush you ask? THE REAL TECHNIQUES ONES! I cannot express how much I have wanted these since their release, but to my dismay, they were only available in the UK and USA, pretty much anywhere but Australia.. Yes I could get them online but I didn’t want to go to a strange site and give them my money and eBay people were asking for ridonkulous amounts of money.

I saw the stippling brush displayed and got super super excited, I think I scared Sharni haha. So we started hunting around and found the section where they displayed the brushes. We both sat down on the floor trying to figure out which one I should grab first for about 10 minutes. So I figured I wanted a new face brush as I don't have much good ones. So I grabbed the blush brush.

For those of you who have no idea what I’m on about, the Real Techniques bushes are made by makeup artist and makeup guru Samantha Chapman who you may know as 'Sam' on pixiwoo on YouTube. Her and her sister Nic have made an amazing reputation through YouTube and I have been watching their videos for years. When I heard Sam was releasing her own brush line I got really excited!

The blush brush to me it looks like an all over face brush. It is dual fibre, synthetic and amazingly soft. Since it's synthetic its amazing for cream blush! The instant I got on the train home I grabbed it out and tested it on my skin and I was in heaven. I picked the brush up on special for $21. I was impressed with how cheap they were. I'm also impressed with the design, Sam has gone all out on this one. The handle is pink and black and the writing is a darker pink but shiny. If you want to know more about the entire line, click here :)

if you’ve tried out the entire collection let me know id love to know which one to get next :)
love you guys

Review: Inglot Freedom System

When i was at I.M.A.T.S last year i went to Inglot and saw a huge line of girls crowding around holding boards and going crazy! i went up and spoke to one of the ladies and was introduced to the 'Freedom System' and i instantly fell in love! i was handed a board and all the prices and i went crazy. i think i spent an hour trying out colors and pushing through a lot of people to get colors!

so now that i have had time to use them and truly test how well they work, I've decided to write a review for you all to tell you what i think about this product :)

the Inglot freedom system is one of the best things to happen to makeup in my opinion. i love the freedom of being able to make my own palettes and choose the colors i want. i have a few Inglot palettes and they are the best makeup i have in my kit.

whats amazing abut the palettes is its not only eyeshadow. face powder, blush, lipstick and eye shadows are available for the freedom system. as pictured below i have made myself an 'everyday' kind of palette with my face powder, contour and 2 eyeshadow colors. i also have a 10 eyeshadow palette and a 5 lip palette and also another 5 eyeshadow palette.

10 Eyeshadow Palette
Top Line: Pearl 449, Shine 15, Pearl 403, Pearl 418, Pearl 436
Bottom Line: Pearl 440, Pearl 441, Matte 302, 67, Matte 338

All Rounder Palette
Face Powder, Contour, Shine 08, Pearl 409

5 Eyeshadow Palette
65, Shine 23, Matte 342, Matte 353, Matte 318
5 Round Lipstick Palette
03, 08, 16, 82, 54
the palettes are very professional. the lid is magnetic and so are the products so its really easy to reorganise if need be. the eyeshadow, blush and face powders come in square pans whereas the lipsticks come in round pans and they look amazing with the palettes. i find them so convenient to have in my makeup kit and a great thing about them is you can reorganise them for certain jobs you may have or if your traveling, you can change them around to suit you. all you do to change them around is the corner magnet of the lid and hold it on the rim of the pan and move it around till it pops out and attaches to the lid magnet.

so i definitely recommend popping down to your nearest Inglot and talking to the staff about the freedom systems and trying them yourself. let me know how you go! :)

Nail of the Day: ZOYA Rina

ZOYA's nail polish in Rina. isn't it stunning? i have worn a couple of other colors of this range but i am loving this green. its so vibrant. i purchased this nail polish from Salon Melbourne for abut $3 i think. so it was extremely cheap.

the formula is great. you see a lot of sheer glitter nail polishes that take 10,0394753986 coats to get it all over your nails but this one is pretty thick and has a tonne of glitter in it. i did have to apply about 3 coats to get to the below stage. but it dries super quick so it doesn't take long to apply.

natural light, 3 coats

would you wear it? :)

Fear Parade

hello all! long time no blog!
not really sure of a good excuse as to why i haven't been posting but the main one is that Ive been really busy, i finished my makeup course and am now fully qualified and also getting stuck into my job. so hopefully i can kick start everything again starting with this post :)

On Friday the 13th and Saturday the 14th i was on set of a television show pilot with the amazing Tony Rodgers. Tony Rogers is the creator and director of the television show 'Wilfred' and also a lot of TV commercials you see on Australian TV. working with him was a complete and utter honor. this is the biggest break i have received since i finished my course and i couldn't be more grateful.

The pilot is for a show called 'Fear Parade' and to be honest i have noooooo idea what the show will be about. after reading the script i was none the wiser. being on set didn't help either, because Tony changed everything, including scenes and script. so it was a little hard to keep up with the story line. but basically its supposed to be a horror comedy about ghosts and memories and a dog lol.

On this shoot i got to work with quite a few people i have worked with before on set of a short film called 'Green Eyed' so it was nice to catch up with those i hadn't seen for almost a year! on the shoot i was assisting with makeup for Jodie Watts. it was an absolute blast i got to do alot of makeup and help with creating looks and such.

Day 1 was shot at the Collingwood Children's Farm in an old house with a really creepy feel to it, and day 2 we filmed in Labassa, which is a beautiful old mansion owned by the Australian trust.

Labassa. Isn't it amazing?!

Here are some photos of the work i did :)

Belinda Misevski as 'Deidre'
Benjamin Rigby as 'Clive'

Aurora as a ghost
Shane Nagle as 'Phillip'
Isabel Harkensee as 'Elizabeth'

this was an amazing shoot and i hope it really does take off and become as popular as Wilfred :) thanks for reading everyone, i will be back shortly with more posts and hopefully more videos!

love you guys!
